From Parenting to Mentoring
Mentorship for Conscious, Connected Parents

Parenting today looks radically different from any generation before us. Research shows that the actual generation of parents spend more hours per week with their children than parents did in the 1980s and 1990s — yet they are raising those same children in deep solitude, without the community webs that once held families together. This paradox has created a generation of caregivers who are deeply devoted, highly informed, and profoundly overwhelmed.
From Parenting to Mentoring was created in response to that reality — a monthly, research‑based mentoring space where neuroscience, mindfulness, and Synergetic principles come together to offer parents a grounded, science‑informed way to understand their children and themselves. This approach takes the pressure off judgment and self‑blame, replacing it with clarity, compassion, and practical tools. Over time, parents begin to relate to their children not from fear or expectation, but from a steady, mentoring presence that builds trust. This is the kind of parenting that shapes teenagers who genuinely welcome their parents’ guidance, because they can feel the sincerity behind their words and the safety within the relationship.
Grounded in the teachings of the science of essential life skills — focus, emotional regulation, perspective‑taking, resilience, empathy, and problem‑solving — this mentoring program helps parents understand not just what their children do, but why their brains and bodies respond the way they do. Each month, we meet live on Zoom for a Q&A session where real questions meet real science, and where parents learn to interpret behavior through the lens of the nervous system, relational safety, and mindful awareness.
Between sessions, families engage in three weeks of guided study, reflection prompts, and simple practices that integrate the material into daily life for a grounding, community‑building experience that restores what modern parenting has lost: shared wisdom, shared presence, shared humanity.
This is not a course. It is an ongoing mentorship — a conscious practice of becoming the adult your child’s nervous system can trust. A space where parents learn to regulate themselves, co‑regulate with their children, and build the relational foundations that shape lifelong wellbeing.

Hi, I’m Patricia — Peruvian, mama of a teenager, and founder of Miami Nature Playschool and The Childhood Nature Project. My journey into nature-based education began at exactly 19:19 on July 16, 2009, after 16 hours of labor, no contractions, three epidurals, and one unforgettable emergency cesarean. The moment I received my daughter in my arms I promised she would have the childhood I couldn't: plenty of play, connection, and wild wonder. I hold an MBA and a degree in Education with emphasis in adults, an specialization in Leadership, Marketing, and Human Resources. I’m a Forest School Teacher certified by the Forest School Association UK but also a Forest Kindergarten Mentor through Cedarson Nature School and a Certified Nature-Based Educator with ANBE in the US. I’m also a Synergetic Play Therapy Practitioner and a Certified Montessori Instructor for newborns to six-year-olds — because I believe even the tiniest humans deserve joy and dignity. At this moment I am pursuing an extension program at Harvard University called: Neuroscience of Learning: An Introduction to Mind, Brain, Health, and Education and I expect to finish it this upcoming May, 2026.
