🌿 Foraging Walk with Robin Greenfield

Earth Provides Us with Everything We Need I Florida Tour
Hosted in collaboration with Miami Nature School, Miami nature PLAYschool, Friends of Enchanted Forest & The City of North Miami

Discover the Wild Foods Growing All Around Us
We are honored to co‑host a special Foraging Walk with environmental activist and educator Robin Greenfield, as part of his -Earth Provides Us with Everything We Need- tour. Robin is currently spending a full year foraging and harvesting 100% of his food and medicine from nature, a journey rooted in simplicity, reciprocity, and deep connection with the land.

During this guided walk, families will learn to:
•     Identify edible and medicinal plants growing in our local ecosystem
•     Understand the basics of ethical, sustainable foraging
•     See “weeds” and overlooked plants through a new lens
•     Build a relationship with the land based on gratitude and curiosity
•     Explore how foraging can reconnect us with ancestral knowledge and food sovereignty

This experience is designed to be family‑friendly, welcoming children and adults of all backgrounds. Robin’s approach is gentle, empowering, and rooted in the belief that nature provides abundantly when we learn to see with new eyes.

Robin’s year‑long foraging project is a living demonstration of what becomes possible when we reimagine our relationship with food, land, and community. His work invites us to slow down, observe, and rediscover the gifts growing all around us—even in urban parks.

For our families, this walk is an opportunity to:
•     Strengthen children’s sense of belonging in nature
•     Learn practical skills that nurture independence and ecological awareness
•     Experience our beloved Enchanted Forest Elaine Gordon Park as a living classroom
•     Connect with a community of families who value nature, simplicity, and stewardship
