Membership Policy

The Childhood Nature Project offers a free membership to families participating in the Miami Nature Playschool programs. Members will have access to a variety of free activities and monthly meetings aimed at building a strong community.

Our programs are rooted in a neurodiverse, family‑centered approach where the uniqueness of each child is honored and celebrated. We create spaces where every family feels welcomed, supported, and valued as they explore, learn, and connect together.

Membership provides families with access to special discounts on classes, workshops, and events offered by The Childhood Nature Project. Members also enjoy exclusive benefits and discounts from businesses owned by fellow community members, strengthening our network of mutual support and collaboration.

Membership renews annually to ensure that all families remain connected, informed, and engaged with our evolving programs and opportunities.

Safety Guidelines

At The Childhood Nature Project, safety begins with connection. Because our sessions are designed for parents and children to explore together, we create environments where families can slow down, tune into one another, and move through nature with confidence.

Our facilitators guide families in noticing their surroundings, supporting healthy risk‑taking, and honoring each child’s sensory and emotional needs. We maintain small group sizes, prepare the environment with care, and ensure that every activity—whether grounding, creative, or exploratory—is developmentally appropriate and responsive to the diverse ways children experience the world.

We are a proudly neurodiverse‑inclusive community. Families are encouraged to communicate their needs, follow their child’s cues, and participate at a pace that feels right for them. We invite parents to support their children through co‑regulation, mindful presence, and gentle guidance, while also tending to their own grounding and well‑being. By working together—parents, children, and facilitators—we cultivate a space where every family feels seen, supported, and safe to explore, connect, and grow in nature.
